Many home owners are unaware that termites fly. Colonising flights occur during periods of moderate temperatures and high humidity, often before or after a storm. The colonising flight usually originates very close to the main nest. With warmer weather approaching, that is the time of the year that insects become more active and commence their breeding cycles, so now is the time to take action.
